Pre-Course Study

Before attending you complete 2 hours of pre-course study, sent to you ahead of the course date. This covers the underpinning theory so your day in the clinic is spent on practical work. The 2 hours of pre-study and 5 hours in clinic together make up the 7 CPD points.

Entry Requirements

You must be well experienced in aesthetic treatments before taking this course. You must hold at least a Level 3 beauty therapy qualification and be at advanced level in practice. This is not a beginner course.

Insurance

Most insurers ask for around six months of needling experience before covering injectable treatments. We partner with a provider offering a fast-track route for practitioners without it. Insurance requirements vary between providers, so please confirm your position with your own insurer before booking.

✓ Injection technique, needle handling and cannulation of very fine vessels
✓ Using magnification and vein-finding tools to target feeder vessels
✓ Compression protocols and aftercare
✓ Patient assessment, contraindications and when to refer for vascular investigation
✓ Recognising and managing complications including matting, pigmentation and ulceration

The practical session covers set-up, technique, treating live models under supervision, and managing the treatment from consultation through to aftercare. You will have plenty of hands-on practice time — the aim is that you leave confident enough to treat your own patients.
